“In a New Light”: Wright & Chihuly

During Chihuly in the Desert, our signature experience is the “In A New Light” guided tour. During this guided visit, you will see Taliesin West come alive with the addition of artworks by Dale Chihuly, and learn how similar these two artists are. You’ll visit many of Taliesin West’s iconic spaces and you’ll see all of the Chihuly artworks. This is the ultimate experience at Taliesin West, and the most in-depth tour we offer. We even offer an evening version of this tour, allowing visitors to experience the art and our campus by spotlight and starlight.

Guests in Need of Special Assistance

Thank you for your interest in touring Taliesin West, a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Heritage Site. We are excited to have the opportunity to share this truly unique, cultural treasure with you.

With an historic, desert campus – spanning nearly 500-acres – there are a number of procedures and precautions we must all follow to ensure a fun, informative, and safe visit. Buildings at Taliesin West are terraced into the landscape, resulting in gravel walkways, steps and uneven surfaces. Narrow ramps are available for guests to use at their own discretion throughout the tour.

All Taliesin West Tours are walking tours, and guests with special requests and needs should contact our tour department at 480-627-5375 or dyeaw@franklloydwright.org prior to their visit.

Walkers

Walkers are permitted in all venues. Guests who wish to use walkers should be aware that Taliesin West has steps, gravel walkways, and uneven surfaces.

Visually Impaired

Assistants for the visually impaired are welcome on any tour free-of-charge.

Hearing Impaired

An interpretive guide book highlighting all aspects of the tours offered at Taliesin West is available upon request. Hearing impaired guests may bring a language interpreter on any tour free-of-charge.

Service Animals

Certified service animals and white canes are permitted on all tours. Pets and other animals whose sole function is to provide comfort, companionship, or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the Americans with Disabilities Act or state law.

Please read our FAQ for answers to commonly asked questions.
