ABOUT THE ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE SERIES
The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation invites emerging and mid-career artists in any creative field to apply for a two-week residency at Taliesin West in Scottsdale, Arizona.
This residency invites artists to immerse themselves in the historic site, the winter camp and desert laboratory of visionary architect Frank Lloyd Wright and the Taliesin Fellowship. Artists are asked to explore the site, its history, and the surrounding landscape, and respond to their experience through the creation of new works, its history, and the surrounding landscape, and respond to their experience through the creation of new works.
Residents will share their creative practice and process with our staff through an internal presentation event during their stay and are welcome to subsequently submit proposals for a future exhibition as part of our Inspired By Artist in Residence Series.
Each residency cycle provides one participant with a private furnished living quarter and site and grounds access for a two-week residency to be inspired by Taliesin West and begin the process of creating new work.
Through this program, the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation keeps the legacy of daily creativity and experimentation alive on-site, cultivating a growing local and national community and providing a deeper understanding of
