To share the magic of Taliesin West, we offer a broad selection of tours ranging from one to three hours long.
Guided tours of Taliesin West are required. You cannot enter the property unless you are on a guided tour. Walk-ins are not guaranteed spots on a tour and tours book up fast. Reservations are strongly recommended for all tours.
Taliesin West is open year round. Our site is closed to the public on the following holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter.

From October 18 – November 14, 2018, all visitors to Taliesin West will see “Framing the Site: Original Pedro E. Guerrero Photographs at Taliesin West,” a selection of original gelatin silver photographs of Taliesin West in the 1940s, throughout the spaces in which they were taken.

You’ll be drawn closer to Frank Lloyd Wright’s world on Taliesin West’s signature tour. Visit Wrights’ private quarters and living room, the gracious Taliesin West “Garden Room,” the drafting studio, the Music Pavilion, the Cabaret, and more. This tour is not intended for children under the age of 6.
Discount day is Wednesday in September, October and May, with prices for Insights Tours: $30 GA, $25 Students (13-25 w/ ID), $16 Youth (6-12)

Night Lights Tour
The romance of Taliesin West comes to life during this special evening tour, an excellent date night activity. Taliesin West’s fire-breathing dragon makes a guest appearance while Wright’s desert masterpiece glows warmly like a jewel under Arizona’s starry skies. Behind the Scenes
This is "the tour" for Frank Lloyd Wright enthusiasts. A highlight of the tour is mid-morning tea and snacks in the colorful Taliesin West Dining Room. You will visit all the spots on the Insights Tour, plus an exclusive viewing of a unique desert site. This tour is not intended for children under the age of 13. Explore the details of one of Frank Lloyd Wright's most personal creations with this 2-hour tour. The Details Tour offers a deeper look into each space included on an Insights Tour, with more time to immerse yourself in the unique aspects of each room and the ability to linger for more personal photo opportunities. This tour is not intended for children under the age of 13.

Private Collections Tour
Step behind the scenes into the collection vault for a private view of selected works from Frank Lloyd Wright's personal art collection. While many objects remain on display in the interpretive spaces, other pieces treasured by the architect are too fragile for display outside of museum environments. These include Japanese prints, textiles and exceptional books shared in this special limited showing.

Desert Shelter Tour
Students in the School of Architecture at Taliesin lead dynamic desert tours of their student shelter residences which have been called “the coolest dorms in the world.” Guests learn about the innovative shelter program, a tradition since Frank Lloyd Wright first slept under the stars in a simple canvas shelter on the grounds that would become Taliesin West. Appropriate closed-toed shoes required.

Guests in need of special assistance
A National Historic Landmark built in the early 20th century, Taliesin West was not designed to meet contemporary accessibility standards. Buildings at Taliesin West are terraced into the landscape, resulting in gravel walkways, steps and uneven surfaces. Narrow ramps are available for guests to use at their own discretion throughout the tour.
All Taliesin West tours are walking tours and guests with special requests and needs should contact our tour department at 480-627-5375 or firstname.lastname@example.org prior to their visit.
Guests with special needs who desire to visit Taliesin West without taking a walking tour may request an interpretive guide of Taliesin West on site.
Walkers are permitted in all venues. Guests who wish to use walkers should be aware that Taliesin West has steps, gravel walkways, and uneven surfaces.
The complex’s network of pathways includes gravel walkways, uneven steps, and stairs. Ramps are available on the property and visitors are welcome to use them at their own discretion. Ramps are 26 inches wide with slopes ranging from 21 to 27 degrees.
Assistants for the visually impaired are welcome on any tour free-of-charge.
An interpretive guide book highlighting all aspects of the tours offered at Taliesin West is available upon request. Hearing impaired guests may bring a language interpreter on any tour free-of-charge.
Certified service animals and white canes are permitted on all tours. Pets and other animals whose sole function is to provide comfort, companionship, or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the Americans with Disabilities Act or state law.
