Frank Lloyd Wright’s Frank Henderson House for Sale

Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation | Apr 18, 2019

This Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Prairie style home is currently on the market for $999,999.

Frank Lloyd Wright’s 1901 Frank Henderson House in Elmhurst, Illinois is on the market for just under a million dollars. The Prairie style home features several signature Wright elements including 80 feet of original stained glass, three fireplaces, and an open, uninterrupted space that includes a library, living room, and dining room. Through glass doors, the living room opens onto a large raised outdoor terrace.

The structure blends nicely with the natural environment with its sweeping horizontal lines. With 5500 square-feet, the home includes four bathrooms and five bedrooms, as well as a recreation room and wine cellar.

The library and dining room are uniquely half-octagonal shaped and are lit by a band of geometric- patterned glass windows. Each bedroom features corner windows, a design component that Wright continued to incorporate in much of his residential work throughout his career.

Perspective and plans for the Frank Henderson House.
