Homeschool Explorations: Building Bridges (Ages 6-11)

Building Bridges
Students will be given a tour of Taliesin West and an understanding that Frank Lloyd Wright designed more than 1,100 structures and 40 of them were bridges. The students and the instructor will discuss the difference between architects and engineers and how they use the Engineering Design Process when designing and testing structures. Students, working in their design teams, will be challenged to design, build, test, and revise a model bridge using K’Nex.
