Guests on Tours are required to stay within the designated tour area throughout their visit.
Guests attending a Program or Event must remain in the designated area where the Program or Event takes place. Often, the entire site will not be accessible during these instances.
Is my tour guided?
Taliesin West offers both self-guided and guided tours.
The Self-Guided Audio Tour is our core offering and lasts approximately 60 minutes. You will be guided by your device around the grounds, both indoors and out. Staff members are stationed along the self-guided tour path, so you can speak with them as you like.
For a guided experience, we suggest choosing either the 120-minute Behind-the-Scenes Guided Tour or a 90-minute Shelters in the Desert Guided Tour.

I am in need of additional assistance or accommodations. How can I visit Taliesin West?
A National Historic Landmark built in the early 20th century, Taliesin West was not designed to meet contemporary accessibility standards. Buildings at Taliesin West are terraced into the landscape, resulting in gravel walkways, steps and uneven surfaces. Narrow ramps are available for guests to use at their own discretion throughout the tour.
All Taliesin West Tours are walking Tours and guests with special requests and needs are encouraged to contact our Tour Department at 480.627.5375 prior to booking their visit.
