NEW! Family Workshops
Children and adults alike are invited to explore art, science, engineering, and design at Taliesin West. During these 90-minute workshops, children and their adult “Design-Assistant” will learn side-by-side and create a hands-on project to take home. All projects are inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright’s own life, work, and inspirations.

Family Workshop: Why Are Blueprints Blue?
Participants will learn about the history of blueprints, and why this artistic photographic process became so important to architecture! They will create their cyanotype print to take home, using the same process Frank Lloyd Wright once used.

Family Workshop: Windmill Engineering Challenge
Participants will learn about the history of wind power and how architect Frank Lloyd Wright designed a windmill (Romeo & Juliet). They will then tinker, experiment, and build their own functioning windmill to take home.
