Educating the Future Virtually: Support Online Learning Initiatives

“Thank you for the wonderful experience. When Covid-19 hit, it felt like everything became disconnected, so your two-week program meant a lot for us to participate and to have learning opportunities. Especially during this time, your virtual summer camp kept my child excited and eager to learn something new. Thank you for your work. I am looking forward to seeing the new lesson for the next class!!”
– Parent of Camper

This summer, the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation launched its first-ever “Virtual Sessions” of Art + Architecture Camps for youth.

The global impact of COVID-19 has been devastating; the silver lining of the situation has been in finding new ways to share our work with people around the world.

The Foundation is dedicated to providing quality STEAM education experiences to challenge young people across the globe to be critical thinkers and creative problem solvers. Our offerings aim to combine fun, real-world lessons with Wright’s work and ideas. These online lessons and camp projects have introduced students to hands-on activities that encourage them to think critically and find creative solutions to challenges.

As our homes have become our offices and classrooms, the Foundation has worked hard to create unique online learning opportunities like Virtual Summer Camp. We believe that the more children who get to discover new ways to look at the world, inspired by one of the great architects of all time, the more they are challenged to live a more beautiful life and create a better world for all.

“Each day, campers get excited for the activities, excited to build, and excited to learn. A lot of our campers have expressed interest in becoming an architect, engineer, or interior designer. If their future is outside of the architectural field, they still love being able to join in to participate in the hands-on learning. The experience is a dramatic, engaging change of pace from their daily lives.” – Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation Education Coordinator, Natalie Pollet

We have been pleased to provide Virtual Summer Camp free of charge, to make these lessons and Wright’s legacy accessible and available to all. We hope you will consider making a donation today to ensure that these innovative programs continue.

Your support is crucial to making certain the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation can keep staff employed and creating education initiatives like Virtual Art + Architecture Camp at this critical time, and long into the future.
