Sunsets and Sips: Cabaret Terrace, Cabaret
August 26, 2021
August 26, 2021 – 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.
This event won’t be as formal as the gatherings in the late 50’s (though you can, you aren’t expected to wear an evening gown or a tuxedo – and your arrival won’t be announced with a gong, either). Adjacent to Wright’s office, the Cabaret Theater was the entertainment hub – weekends would host formal dinners, followed by a movie or musical performance. Just outside is the Cabaret Terrace, situated with open views of Cew S-wegiom (commonly known as Camelback Mountain for it’s two distinct humps) and the Phoenix Mountain Preserve. Wright underscores this visual with the calming sounds of the fountain, designed with glass floats that softly ding the crown bell.
Sunsets and Sips is a new happy hour program offered at Taliesin West. On this occasion, we invite guests to linger with a drink on the Cabaret Terrace and the Cabaret. All tickets come with a complimentary drink and access to these select spaces on property, with staff present to answer your questions. Bar service will be open until 7:30 for additional beverage purchases. Open spaces differ with each offering, allowing you to experience something different every time.
Tickets are $35 and include access to the program space, as well as one drink ticket (wine, beer or soda). Members receive an additional drink courtesy of our Membership Department.
