In Conversation: Alison King on Affordable Housing in Arizona

Our programs will be exploring the connections between architecture, art, and nature in this informal conversation series! Guests can ask questions, engage with others, and purchase a beverage while learning about the core principles of art, architecture, and nature.

About Our Speaker

Alison King is the designer and historian behind ModernPhoenix.net, Arizona’s go-to source for midcentury modern design in Arizona. Since 2003 Modern Phoenix has published in-depth biographies, neighborhood reports, photo archives, vintage drawings, ads, photography, and graphic design galleries spotlighting Arizona’s midcentury heritage. Their popular annual home tour of midcentury modern homes is a valley favorite. Alison wrote the authorized biography of architect Ralph Haver, AIA, and works closely with the Beadle family to preserve architect Al Beadle’s legacy. When she’s not living in the past she enjoys mentoring students for the future as a professor of design and history at Grand Canyon University
