Framing the Site: Original Pedro E. Guerrero Photographs at Taliesin West

October 18, 2018 – November 14, 2018
Taliesin West

From October 18 – November 14, 2018, visitors to Taliesin West will get an up-close view of a selection of Pedro E. Guerrero’s original gelatin silver photographs of Taliesin West in the 1940s, throughout the spaces in which they were taken.

Guerrero was Frank Lloyd Wright’s chief photographer from 1939 until the architect’s death in 1959. Over these two decades, working closely with the architect, Guerrero matured as a photographer, learning to capture Wright’s vision for his buildings within the landscape in remarkable and often powerful images, creating a relationship of mutual respect. In addition to his work with Wright and other major American architects, Guerrero is also known for his documentation of the work of sculptors Alexander Calder and Louise Nevelson.

All visitors touring Taliesin West during the time of the display will see the photos. A separate ticket purchase is not required.
