The Interactive Art of Taliesin West’s Desert
Behind Taliesin West, amongst the student desert shelters and Sonoran Desert life, former student of the School of Architecture at Taliesin’s Immersion Program, Kathleen Werner, created a movable, interactive art installation called the “Etazin Circle.” We asked Werner a bit about how Taliesin West’s environment led to this mesmerizing, innovative art piece.

Tan-y-Deri Porch Restoration Complete
As of this summer, the preservation crew has fully completed the reconstruction of the porch at Tan-y-Deri of Taliesin, which now stands as it existed from the late 1930s to the early 1950s.

Petroglyphs at Taliesin West
Discovering Frank Lloyd Wright’s work during a high school field trip to Fallingwater, Preservation Archaeologist Aaron Wright, Ph.D., felt drawn to Wright’s understanding of natural landscapes. Now, 25 years later, he is revisiting the legendary architect’s work to study the petroglyphs at Taliesin West.
