Visit Taliesin West: Arizona Resident Discount

This summer, spend some time exploring  Frank Lloyd Wright’s winter home, Taliesin West. From June – August* 2019, Arizona residents can experience the legendary architect’s retreat and desert laboratory in Scottsdale’s McDowell Mountains for 33% off by reserving an Insights or Panorama Tour.

Discount only available through advance booking to all Arizona residents by using the discount code AZRESIDENT. Proof of residency must be shown when picking up tickets.

Insights Tour

Our premier tour highlights the best of Taliesin West. See indoor and outdoor spaces blend while visiting Wright’s private quarters and living room, the gracious Taliesin West “Garden Room,” the drafting studio and the Music Pavilion. Plus, enjoy personal walk-throughs of the Cabaret Theater, Kiva room and Wright’s private office.

Frank Lloyd Wright’s talent for creatively linking indoor and outdoor spaces is on display in this engaging one-hour tour. Visits to the Cabaret Theater, Kiva, and Wright’s private office highlight the dramatic beauty of Taliesin West’s landscaped grounds and desert masonry structures.

Just off Taliesin West’s main entrance, you’ll find a unique emporium showcasing great design: the Frank Lloyd Wright Store, where a portion of every purchase goes to support the preservation of the architect’s personal homes, Taliesin and Taliesin West. Peruse the art books, admire the Wright-inspired collectibles, and shop home furnishings and apparel influenced by the great architect’s principles of design.

Guests in need of special assistance

A National Historic Landmark built in the early 20th century, Taliesin West was not designed to meet contemporary accessibility standards. Buildings at Taliesin West are terraced into the landscape, resulting in gravel walkways, steps, and uneven surfaces. Narrow ramps are available for guests to use at their own discretion throughout the various tours.

All Taliesin West tours are walking tours and guests with special requests and needs should contact our tour department at 480-627-5375 or dyeaw@franklloydwright.org prior to their visit.

Guests with special needs who desire to visit Taliesin West without taking a walking tour may request an interpretive guide of Taliesin West on site.

Walkers

Walkers are permitted in all venues. Guests who wish to use walkers should be aware that Taliesin West has steps, gravel walkways, and uneven surfaces.

Wheelchair Access

The complex’s network of pathways includes gravel walkways, uneven steps, and stairs. Ramps are available on the property and visitors are welcome to use them at their own discretion. Ramps are 26 inches wide with slopes ranging from 21 to 27 degrees.

 

Hearing Imparied

An interpretive guide highlighting all aspects of the tours offered at Taliesin West is available upon request. Hearing impaired guests may bring a language interpreter on any tour free of charge.

 

Visually Impaired

Certified service dogs and white canes are permitted on all tours. Assistants for the visually impaired are welcome on any tour free of charge.
