Join Taliesin West in celebrating the 150th anniversary of Frank Lloyd Wright’s birth!

The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation is proud to announce the start of a year-long celebration to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the birth of Frank Lloyd Wright, the celebrated American architect who changed the way we build and live.

To kick off the celebration on Wright’s birthday, Thursday, June 8, Taliesin West will join Wright sites across the country to offer $1.50 tours of the legendary architect’s winter home & desert laboratory. Beginning with the first tour at 9am, the Foundation will offer visitors a tour and a birthday cupcake, donated by local bakery Tammie Coe Cakes. Reservations are strongly recommended. Due to popular demand, more tours were recently added and are selling fast.

“Although Frank Lloyd Wright was born in 1867, his visionary ideas are even more relevant today than in his own lifetime,” said Stuart Graff, President and CEO, Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation. “We honor his life and vision of America, not just by looking back on his greatness, but by following his lead and always looking forward to see how his legacy will advance how we live and build into the future.”

The festivities at Taliesin West are just the beginning. Wright properties across the country will welcome visitors and pay tribute to his life and innovative work and feature special anniversary offerings, from exhibitions to workshops, retail merchandise, activities and events, lectures, tour enhancements, visitor giveaways and much more.

“We are proud to partner with Wright sites nationwide to celebrate Frank Lloyd Wright’s legacy and continued impact on our culture, through a series of events, exhibitions, special tours, and programs,” said Jeff Goodman, Director of Marketing and Communication, Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation. “We invite Arizona visitors to Taliesin West to celebrate Wright’s legacy by truly experiencing his work.”
