Muirhead Farmhouse Architectural Tour

May 20, 2018
Muirhead Farmhouse

The Muirhead Farmhouse is the only farmhouse designed and built during Wright’s lifetime.

Built in the early 1950s, this ever-modern Usonian design features an exterior of brick and cypress wood that spans nearly 180 feet. It is surrounded by nearly 800 acres of restored, tall grass prairie. The farmhouse remains in the Muirhead family and they generously donate proceeds from this day’s event to the Central 301 (school district) Music Boosters program.
