Frank Lloyd Wright’s Birthday Celebration at the Guggenheim

June 8, 2017
Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum

Celebrate the 150th birth year of Frank Lloyd Wright through a series of activities related to the architect’s masterpiece: The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum.

The celebration kicks off at the museum on Thursday, June 8—Wright’s birthday—with a reduced admission of $1.50. Visitors will be treated to free birthday cupcakes in the newly renovated Cafe 3, where never-before-exhibited construction photographs of the museum will be displayed. At noon Ashley Mendelsohn, Curatorial Assistant of Architecture and Digital Initiatives, will lead a special architectural tour of the Wright-designed building. Best of all, a Wright impersonator will be on site for photographs and a special history lesson.
